After nearly a year of being missing, two Missouri youngsters were discovered at a supermarket in Florida, according to police.
According to the High Springs Police Department in Florida, the two youngsters have been missing since March 15, 2022. They were discovered with their non-custodial mother, Kristi Nicole Gilley, at a Florida Winn-Dixie on Wednesday, according to authorities.
Gilley, 36, was apprehended and arrested on an active kidnapping warrant from Clay County, Missouri, according to authorities.
Officers tracked down the two children after performing a regular tag check on Gilley’s vehicle, which revealed that the vehicle’s owner was a fugitive, according to police.
Despite concealing their identities, the three were identified. It wasn’t immediately evident how their identities had been concealed.
According to authorities, the youngsters were given over to the Florida Department of Children and Families Services and will be reunited with their families.
