After a drunk driver slammed his automobile through the front entrance of a Florida church, three people were sent to the hospital.

The driver, Paul Carroll, 38, was arrested and lodged in the Okaloosa County Prison on suspicion of DUIA, resulting in an accident with serious injuries.

The incident, which the Crestview Police Department stated happened at 12:14 in the morning, was captured on video on  the 18th of February.

As it slammed into the front of the church, the car appeared to be in danger of flipping over.

According to a Facebook post from the police department, “When officers arrived on scene, they observed a vehicle that failed to navigate the turn while traveling south on Ferdon Boulevard, rolled and drove through the front of the First Presbyterian Church of Crestview.”

The department continued, “Crestview Police Officers, with the assistance of the members of the Crestview Fire Department, successfully extracted four occupants of the vehicle. Three of the four were transported for serious injuries and the driver refused treatment on scene.”

The Crestview Police Department wants to remind everyone that it is never a good idea to drive after drinking.
