Secret Service Agents Protecting Biden’s Granddaughter Open Fire After 3 People Try To Break Into SUV

Secret Service agents tasked with protecting President Biden’s granddaughter reportedly discharged their firearms on Sunday night in response to individuals trying to break into an unmarked Secret Service vehicle. Security personnel guarding the residence of a 29-year-old attorney in Washington’s Georgetown district intercepted three individuals trying to unlawfully access an unidentifiable Secret Service car.

At approximately 11:58 p.m., Secret Service agents came across a group, possibly consisting of three individuals, in the act of breaking a window on an unattended government vehicle, as per Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi.

“During this encounter, a federal agent discharged a service weapon and it is believed no one was struck. The offenders immediately fled the scene in a red vehicle and a regional lookout was issued to supporting units. There was no threat to any protectees and the incident is being investigated by the DC Metropolitan Police Department and the Secret Service.”

According to a neighbor of the initial granddaughter, as reported by The Post, they strolled by the location at approximately 11 p.m., about an hour before the incident, noting that the street was quiet, with no one outside in the cold weather.

The Secret Service, with designated parking spaces, observes the area from a facility near Naomi’s, and they would have been alerted to the situation due to the extreme quietness of the block, according to the neighbor’s statement.

When asked about the possible whereabouts of the suspects, a spokesperson from the DC Police Department directed The Post to the Secret Service. Allegedly, the Secret Service issued a local warning to law enforcement, advising them to watch for the suspects’ vehicle.

The capital city of the country has witnessed a significant increase in incidents of carjackings and vehicle thefts in the current year. Over the last 12 months, law enforcement has been informed of over 750 carjackings and the theft of more than 6,000 vehicles.

The problem has extended to such an extent that it’s affecting even those in positions of authority. In a recent incident, US Representative Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) was subjected to a carjacking at gunpoint by three armed individuals near the Capitol.
