Brazilian gospel artist Pedro Henrique suffered a sudden collapse during his performance at a private venue in Brazil. The incident, broadcasted live on social media, left spectators in shock as they later discovered that they had witnessed the artist’s demise. Henrique, a 30-year-old resident of Guarulhos, São Paulo, passed away during the event.
Henrique was performing at an event organized for influencer Lôise Abreu in Feira de Santana, Bahia. In the video footage, the gospel singer seemed perfectly fine as he flawlessly sang the song “Vai Ser Tão Lindo,” not missing a beat.
However, a sudden and distressing moment unfolded when he shifted the microphone toward the audience and, upon returning it to resume singing, he abruptly collapsed onto his back. The venue promptly rushed him to a nearby medical clinic, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The record label Todah Music, representing the late singer, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram a day after Pedro Henrique’s passing. The post acknowledged the inexplicable nature of some challenges in life, expressing that Henrique had now joined the celestial choir in Heaven.
The message emphasized that his legacy would endure through his wife, Suilan Barreto, their two-month-old daughter, Zoe, and the individuals touched by his gospel music. Confirming to the media, the label stated that Henrique’s cause of death was a massive heart attack.
According to Billboard Brazil, Pedro Henrique’s wake and burial are scheduled to take place in Porto Seguro, Bahia, the city of the singer’s birth. Notably, his latest single, a medley comprising “Levanta,” “Não Fica Assim,” and “Descendência (Ao Vivo),” was released on December 14.
