The Tibetan people’s spiritual leader is known as the Dalai Lama. He is well renowned for his commitment to promoting peace. He is now apologizing after a video surfaced of him saying something unpleasant to a little boy.
The apology was published on the Dalai Lama’s Twitter page on April 10. It stated that “His Holiness” wished to convey his regret for the suffering he had brought about. He stated he “teases people” who first meet him in an “innocent and playful way,” even when there are remarks involved. The statement closed by stating that the Dalai Lama “regrets the incident.”
A video of the Tibetan spiritual leader interacting with a young kid at a public ceremony prompted the apologies. The youngster is seen in the video asking for a hug. The youngster offers the Dalai Lama a kiss and a hug, and the boy gestures to his cheek. After that, he gestures to his lips while telling the child that he can also kiss him “here”. The youngster brushes his forehead to the spiritual leader’s and extends his tongue out as well. After a few seconds, he pushes his tongue out and tells the little boy to “suck his tongue.” More than a million people have watched the video on social media.
The spiritual leader advises the young boy to look up to those who “create peace and happiness” rather than killers after the bizarre encounter.
In Dharamshala, India, the Tibetan leader was receiving a group of students at his temple. He fled Tibet in 1959 after a failed uprising against China and now resides in exile in the compound near to the Dhauladhar mountains.
An activist in India said she was going to file a case against him, and critics have branded the footage of the conversation between the Dalai Lama and the little kid “creepy” and “sick.”
