Melania Trump Wants Husband Donald To Tap Tucker Carlson For VP

Melania Trump is reportedly advocating for her husband to select Tucker Carlson as his running mate in the 2024 presidential race should he secure the Republican nomination.

The former first lady is of the opinion that the former Fox News host would serve as a compelling on-stage complement to her husband, former President Donald Trump.

However, facing tough competition, Trump, aged 77, is also contemplating candidates with more political experience for the second-in-command position. This includes individuals like Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, and Representatives Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).

Kari Lake, who was unsuccessful in her 2022 campaign for Arizona’s Republican governor and is currently vying for the U.S. Senate in the state, is identified as one of the “loyalist” figures that Trump is reportedly contemplating for the vice president role.

Even though Carlson is Melania’s favored option, individuals within the former president’s team and those in his inner circle purportedly express concerns that Carlson might overshadow Donald Trump and that the talk show host may prove challenging to manage.

A campaign aide for Trump informed The Post that Trump is solely focused on the GOP primary elections and dismissed the reports suggesting otherwise.

“The Axios story is pure fiction. Unless there is a formal announcement from President Trump or his campaign team, then it’s just speculation and not coming from us. President Trump is solely focused on winning the Republican nomination and then defeating Crooked Joe Biden in the general election.”

The report additionally asserted that former officials from the Trump administration, namely Stephen Miller, Steve Bannon, John McEntee, Jeffrey Clark, Ric Grenell, John Ratcliffe, and Jared Kushner, are being considered for pivotal White House positions and cabinet roles.
